Who Is It For?

FAQs 3

Each MBPP short course includes:

  • Approximately 8 hours of structured online learning
  • Approximately 8 hours of personal study and assessment tasks
  • An estimated 2–4 hours for practical activities in a Montessori-aligned early childhood setting

These timeframes are indicative only and may vary depending on your experience, confidence, and access to a suitable learning environment. They’re provided to help you understand the typical commitment required for each course.

Each course involves:

  • Real-world application of skills in a functioning Montessori learning environment
  • Practical learning tasks and workplace-based assessments using Montessori materials
  • Guidance and feedback from a Ugenius Montessori Coach to help you integrate what you learn into everyday practice

These are not passive, theory-only short courses. They are hands-on, workplace-applied courses designed to help you build the skills, classroom presence, and confidence to guide children’s learning — the Montessori way.

You’ll need a letter of support from your employer confirming:

  • You’re allowed to complete practical activities during work/study hours
  • You’ll have access to Montessori materials and support from a mentor or educational leader

Ugenius will provide a placement approval form during enrolment.

Through our industry partnership with the Montessori Beginnings network, Ugenius may be able to facilitate supervised access to a Montessori ECEC setting for your practical work. This is subject to availability and will be arranged during enrolment.

You will need to:

  • Arrange access to a Montessori-aligned centre with appropriate materials and support
  • Nominate a mentor or leader to oversee your learning
  • Get your setting approved by Ugenius before starting
